Mahindra XUV 700 has been finally revealed by Mahindra.

Mahindra has taken a lot of time to reveal the SUV, but let me tell you it seems that it is worth the wait.

Mahindra launched the XUV 500 in 2011 and kept launching its facelift versions from time to time but nothing major was ever changed.

And the overall look and feel of the car remained almost the same.

The last facelift of the XUV 500 was launched in 2018.

And rumors of the next gen XUV 500 started spreading after a year or so.

Many spied the next gen XUV 500 while the mahindra was testing it.

And it has been a long time since the XUV 500 next gen was first spied testing in the Indian roads.

But Mahindra shocked everyone when it renamed the XUV 500 to XUV 700 and confirmed its launch in 2021.

And ever since we have been seeing more and more spied shots of the XUV 700.

Now that it’s here, let’s See what the first impressions are.

As usual, let’s start with its looks.

XUV 700 – Looks

We have been seeing the spy shots of the XUV 700 for a long time now.

And the spy shots were giving everyone mixed reactions.

To be very frank, we did not like the XUV 700’s looks in the spy shots at all.

And we were like, they have ruined a beautiful looking car.

But now that it has been launched in its full glory, we must say, the XUV 700 looks impressive.

Front Looks

The front of the car looks totally different from the XUV 500 and it truly is a next gen of XUV 500.

The front of the car will remind you somewhat of the Mahindra Alturas G4.

You get the blacked out grill with the chrome lines. And the new Mahindra SUV logo sits in the middle.

On the side of the grill, you get big C-shaped headlights.

The headlight panel also houses big C-Shaped DRLs (Daytime Running Lights).

You also get fog lamps on the lower panel.

Overall the front of the SUV looks premium and appealing.

Side Looks

The side profile of the XUV 700 is where you can find some similarities between the XUV 500 and the XUV 700.

You get big new alloy wheels.

And from the side it looks somewhat similar to the XUV 500.

Rear Looks

Major changes have been done to the rear profile of the XUV 700.

And it looks absolutely different from the XUV 500.

You get the new arrow shaped tail lights with the new Mahindra SUV logo in the middle.

Overall the rear profile of the SUV looks good too.

Major changes have been done in the Interior of the SUV.

It is completely revamped.

And you will not find any hint of the XUV 500 in the interior.

It looks more premium and nicely put together.

XUV 700 Instrument Console

You get a dual tone dashboard with a big infotainment system.

From steering to instrument console to the infotainment system to the dashboard, everything seems very very good considering the XUV 500 interiors.

A big thumbs up to Mahindra for XUV 700 Interiors.

XUV 700 – Engine Options

Mahindra XUV 700 will be available in 2 engine options.

  1. 2.0L Turbocharged Petrol Engine
  2. 2.2L Turbocharged Diesel Engine

The 2.0L Petrol engine produces a maximum power of 200PS and a maximum Torque of 380Nm.

It will be available with the 6-speed manual and automatic transmission.

The 2.2L Diesel engine produces a maximum power of 155PS and a maximum torque of 360Nm in the lower trim variant.

The same 2.2L Diesel engine produces a maximum power of 185PS and a maximum torque of 420Nm with manual transmission and produces a maximum torque of 450Nm with automatic transmission.

It will be available with both manual and automatic transmission.

On paper the power figures are best in its segment.

In Fact on paper it is more powerful than Ford Endeavour.
